How Proof of Curation Works

Discovery

Users navigate the Multiverse Art platform to explore an extensive selection of artwork and content through their personalised feed, artist galleries, and community exhibitions. This process allows users to uncover new artists, styles, and themes that resonate with their interests.

Selection

When users come across an artwork or content they admire, they can upvote the piece with their MVART tokens. This action serves as an endorsement, signalling their support for the artwork or content and contributing to its increased visibility on the platform.

Staking

Users stake a specified number of MVART tokens to the artwork they wish to support with the platform upvote feature. By upvoting artwork users not only endorse the artwork but also temporarily lock up the tokens preventing their use for other purposes.

Reward Periods

Once tokens are staked, users earn rewards based on the number of likes an artwork or content receives. Rewards are tied to specific like milestones and are automatically distributed through smart contracts upon reaching each milestone. Bonuses are multiplied when tokens remain staked through multiple consecutive milestones. Users can track the progress of their chosen artworks in real-time, monitoring likes, rankings, and community engagement. Collective staking within the community plays a crucial role in boosting an artwork’s visibility, ranking, and valuation, enhancing collaboration and strategic participation.

Reward Milestones

The reward milestones for staking MVART tokens are based on the number of likes an artwork receives. There are 20 reward milestones starting at 50 likes, rewards are progressively multiplied as milestones are achieved during active staking. Major benchmarks include 1,000 likes, 10,000 likes, 100,000 likes, and eventually up to 10 million likes. Consecutive milestones offer increasing rewards for continuous staking, encouraging long-term participation and engagement with high-performing artworks.
